Warehouse and Logistics manager
The main task of the warehouse manager will oversee all warehouse operations as well as good in. The warehouse manager will also support other areas of the business
Location - Portsmouth
Salary - £30 - 40k
The roles and responsibilties of this role will be -
To assist in the communication of goods delivery and booking in of all goods.
To produce Delivery Notes, Certificates of Conformity.
Loading and Unloading of Delivery and Collection Vehicles.
Co-ordinating Despatches, marshalling deliveries and checking paperwork / obtaining signatures.
Using Javelin for all required data logging.
Booking in / out of tools, patterns and production equipment.
Communication with SED PM's and managers.
Implement and run a divisional Kanban system.
Booking in goods at Goods Inwards, processing and filing of CoA's / CoC's.
Storing and Retrieval of stock and associated counting / re-labelling and MRP system updates.
Stock Checking and Perpetual Inventory with adjustments and notification of relevant personnel. (Stock management)
Housekeeping Activities both in the warehouses and the yard areas.
Supplying daily required parts and raw materials for SED Units / Cells
Any other items as advised by the Composite or Operations Managers which to contribute to the effective operation of the department.
Month end stock evaluations
Staff management and appraisals. Resource management
The ideal candidate for this role will have -
PC Literate - Email (Outlook), MS Office (Excel, Word, Access), Use of MRP and Warehouse management systems (Javelin in this instance).
Previous experience of working in a production stores environment is essential
Experience in working to processes compliant with ISO 9001 (and ideally TS16949).
Current Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Licenses.
Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Highly motivated - able to work as part of a small team as well as the initiative to work alone when required.
Able to demonstrate a flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks set.
Effective time management - able to work within tight timescales in line with production needs
