Very excited to be recruiting on behalf of a sought after hospice who have recently opened their state of the art facility in the Guildford area, and due to retirement are now seeking a Ward Manager to join their established team.

Our client is patient-led and has heavily invested in its brand new care facility, patients and staff benefit from the latest technology and facilities including a spa, physiotherapy gym, a fully equipped kitchen, assessment rooms and counselling offices, all in a beautifully landscaped environment with homely and stylish interiors.

As the successful Ward Manager you will provide clinical leadership and management support to the in-patient unit team, always ensuring the highest standards of holistic nursing care is provided. You will work closely with the Lead Consultant to co-ordinate and develop the In-Patient Unit and deputise for the Director of Nursing when needed.

Core Responsibilities:

·Provide clinical expertise to the healthcare team and volunteers
·Lead, coach & motivate the staff team always promoting clinical excellence
·Responsible for staff training & personal development
·Ensure the in-patient unit is compliant with NMC regs, Misuse of Drugs Act & CQC
·Liaise with other healthcare professionals and represent the hospice

Experience Required:

·Registered Nurse with an active PIN
·Proven background of working in a palliative care setting
·Ability to identify & implement change
·Clinically astute
·Excellent leadership & development skills
·Medical & Oncology experience
·Able to work sensitively and collaboratively
