WAKING NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER - SEAFORD, EAST SUSSEX

3 - 4 NIGHTS PER WEEK

Our client is a seven-year-old girl who lives with her parents in the family home in Seaford. She has complex needs including quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy and has associated learning difficulties. In addition, she has speech, language and communication needs and is dependent on others for all aspects of her daily living needs, including personal care.

Our client enjoys the company of happy, lively people with outgoing personalities. She enjoys play and various activities, spending time with her family and within the community.

The central role of the Waking Night Worker is to monitor our client throughout the night, providing personal care when required and assisting her to get ready for school in the mornings.

The following shifts are available:

Week One

Tuesday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Thursday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Sunday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Week Two

Tuesday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Friday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Saturday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Sunday 9.30pm - 7.00am

Previous experience of working with children with special needs and teams of therapists preferred but enthusiasm, patience and willingness to learn is desirable. Candidates should be confident about working within a private home and be sensitive to the needs and wishes of the client and her family; able to demonstrate the need for confidentiality and privacy, a good sense of humour, reliable and trustworthy. The successful applicant will receive appropriate training and ongoing support.

The flexibility to work additional hours as required would be desirable.
