Autism Wessex is a registered Charity that supports individuals with Autism and other associated difficulties, promoting their independence at home and in the community.

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic support workers to join our residential setting in Beaminster. You will play a vital role in supporting people in their home environment, focusing on each individual’s specific requirements and encouraging independence enabling them to lead a fulfilling life. This setting is 3 attached terrace houses which have been adapted to suit the needs of the individuals that live there.

The role of a Waking Night Support Worker is incredibly rewarding however you will experience behaviours that are challenging. To Support you with this, shadowing and a comprehensive training programme will be provided. You’ll need to have a good sense of humour, patience and persistence, as learning new skills can take time. You will also be a great communicator, empathetic, enthusiastic, creative and reliable.
