Waking Night Support Worker - Pocklington

Posted 10 July by Mencap Ended

Are you a night owl?

We are looking to recruit a Waking Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team of support staff in our service in Pocklington.

You will be supporting 1 female and 3 males. These adults live with a learning disability and require support throughout the night.

The people we support enjoy their evening routine which could vary from going to social nights, doing fun things in the house, listening to music or even just talking about their busy days. When they are fast asleep you will be completing light domesticated duties, monitoring the people whilst they sleep, supporting those who wake during the night to go back to sleep and also monitoring the epilepsy monitor. You will also provide support with personal care. You will also support when they wake in the morning with medication and breakfast.

The best thing about being a support worker is that anyone can do it, as long as you have positive mind-set and are attentive at all times. In return for your hard work we will support you through our award winning training to help you progress in your career with us!

Within the additional information section, we have included profiles for some of the people you will work with. This will give you a better understanding of the role requirements.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
