WAKING NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER - FULL TIME - YEWDALE FARM, WILLINGHAM

We are looking for an energetic and positive support worker to join our friendly and welcoming team at Yewdale Farm, which is situated within a magnificent 14 acres of farmland and orchards - don’t forget your wellies!

Rated "Good" by CQC in 2017, Yewdale Farm is home to sheep, geese, ducks, rabbits, dogs and a lizard - not to mention our 9 fantastic male service users who have a diagnosis of learning and physical disabilities, mental health issues and PWS.

The service users are incredibly active at Yewdale Farm and often spend time kite flying, picking apples and various other forms of horticulture. They also enjoy going to the local day centre where they attend computer groups, and popping into to the local village - especially the tearooms.

There is limited public transport so car drivers are preferable.

Shift times at Yewdale Farm are 7.30am - 9.30pm and 9.30pm - 7.30am, we also offer every other weekend off.

Main Duties

. To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment

. To maintain effective communication and liaison with the service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality

. To support users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events

. To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required

. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care

The Successful Candidate Will Have

. The ability to keep calm under pressure

. Confidence to work alone and as part of a team

. Excellent communication skills

. The passion to work with venerable adults

. The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
