Volunteering Development Officer
Salary: £23,000 (pro-rata)
Based: Tavistock + Travel
Hours: 28 hours per week
Our client is a membership organisation providing resources, support and practical information to families with an aim to help children with upper limb differences live life without limits.
Their strength lies in the peer to peer support they provide to families. Their aim is to enhance the support their volunteers are able to provide through the introduction of a Helpline Service. This is an exciting new role, to lead the development, launch and ongoing success of their helpline service.
They are looking for an experienced Project Officer to lead the roll out of a helpline service and provide high quality ongoing training and support to volunteers. The post-holder will be responsible for all project activities in co-operation with and under the direction of the National Co-ordinator and trustees.
Educated to degree level, you will have experience of developing and delivering projects, as well as training and motivating volunteers. You will have a flexible approach, solid organisation skills, and project co-ordination and development. Ideally you will have experience in a related field, ideally the voluntary sector, although this is not essential.
Regular travel is required for the role, as well as regular attendance at the office in Tavistock.
