Who we are

ADAS was established in 1987 as a response to concerns within the Harlow community about the lack of facilities for the treatment of local people with alcohol and drug dependency problems. The need for our services in Harlow and West Essex remains high. In Harlow females ranked the highest and males ranked third in the East of England for alcohol-related hospital admissions. Through the delivery of counselling and group work we provide vital support to people suffering from problems caused by alcohol abuse and addiction. We aim to help people to make lasting positive changes. We also provide much needed support to affected family members and seek to raise the awareness of issues related to addiction in the community.
