Vocational Trainer in Beauty Therapy
This is an opportunity for vocational experts to supervise small group vocational tuition catch-up sessions for 16-18-year-old study-programme students who have been disadvantaged by the disruption to their education caused by Covid-19. Small groups should consist of three people but can go up to five.
Small group, focused tuition has been shown to lower attainment gaps.
This role will involve a flexible workload which can be tailored to your availability. All delivery will be on campus. We would appreciate candidates detailing their availability on their application.
Contract Length will be discussed at interview dependent on your availability.
Who is it for:
16-18 study programme students who had not achieved a grade 5 in English or Maths by the age of 16. If a student receives ALS and ALS is appropriate for the catch-up sessions then this can also be provided.
Tutors will require to provide the following
- Planned hours of tuition and content
- Evidence of delivery against that plan - Registers
- Brief progress report
- Overview of Material Used and Associated Costs
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Successful candidates will have a Beauty Therapy Level 2 qualification or above, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification.
In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
