The vacancy exists for a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant who is looking for an opportunity to join a team that provides vocational rehabilitation case management and well -being support to clients which include employers, solicitors and insurers .
The role involves:
*Developing and implementing action plans to deliver the most cost-effective support package.
*Compiling vocational profiles to determine the most appropriate occupational direction for clients.
*Producing professional reports, updates and action plans.
*Developing and maintaining commercial and effective relationships with referrers and employers.
*Delivering a quality outcome by providing advice and guidance to employers, HR, line managers, insurance and rehabilitation providers.
*Conducting comprehensive interviews and assessments including the implementation of reasonable adjustments, redeployment and alternative employment.
*Maximising opportunities for repeat/additional business through promotion, recommendation of products and services and the delivery of high quality vocational rehabilitation services.
*Researching and maintaining an awareness of employment, health and welfare related issues, trends and news.
*Meeting and exceeding personal case load targets for referrals and case closure.
*Regularly reporting activity against plans.
Ideally you will have the following skills /experience and /or qualifications:
*Have a Degree or significant demonstrable experience within Vocational Rehabilitation or a related discipline.
*Hold membership of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association.
*Have an excellent knowledge of Employment law, the DDA and Health and Safety legislation.
*Have a strong understanding of the development and implementation of Wellbeing services strategies, Vocational Rehabilitation and support mechanisms.
*Have skills or experience of understanding and providing support to people with a wide range of disabilities.
*Hold a valid UK driving license and be able to travel independently.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and influencing skills. They will be customer and outcome focused with outstanding organisational skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
