Are you passionate about volunteering and providing opportunities to support young people gain work opportunities? Is having a positive impact within the community and helping change people’s lives important to you? This full-time role is new and innovative and will provide a person-centred, holistic approach as you recruit, induct and support a group of volunteers and co-ordinate the work of newly recruited young people who are In Work Mentors.

You will be:
• Marketing our projects to relevant organisations to enable the promotion of volunteering activities.
• Conducting the recruitment of Volunteers for ELITE.
• Co-coordinating the work and activities of ELITE’s Volunteers and In Work Mentors.
• Coordinating the activities of support and programme of work for all Volunteers and In Work Mentors, in line with project plans to enable the support of:
o Adults with disabilities or
o Young people with disabilities or
o Adults at a disadvantage
o Young People at a disadvantage

We are looking for someone with excellent people skills, who will work well within a team and enjoy the challenge of co-coordinating a range of vocational activities. Ideally you will have some experience in the delivery of frontline services, either operationally or supporting delivery. You will have experience in managing volunteers and co-coordinating the activities for a group of young people. This would include an awareness of managing risk, safeguarding, well-being support, GDPR, supporting Volunteers and working with young people.

•To lead and co-ordinate all recruitment activities from advertising the opportunities, the application process, shortlisting and selection of Volunteers in line with a project plan,including Safeguarding procedures.
•To provide the provision of a full induction and training programme, both accredited and non-accredited, to all volunteers recruited.
•To provide the provision of both formal and informal guidance and support to all Volunteers recruited including development and exit plans.
•To maintain and produce all relevant paperwork / administration including financial records.
•To lead and co-ordinate the activities of the young people recruited as In Work Mentors, to include supporting the Employment Advisors to provide a service to ELITE’sparticipants within job clubs, travel training, job coaching and employability skills.OVERALL PURPOSE: To recruit and train Volunteers to work throughout specified areas across South, Mid and West Wales.
•To work with the Volunteers and In Work Mentors to co-ordinate their activities to provide support and aid ELITE’s participants across all projects in raising their awareness of the world of work and providing work opportunities.
