Working Hours: Any time from 8am - 6:30pm (some duties finish at 4pm, some finish at 12pm and the last Friday of every month staff could be required to work the After Hours event.
An exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of a world class visitor attraction and science research centre. We are seeking Sales Assistants to cover the upcoming Easter break.
You will need to be fully available for duration of the half term break and will have a genuine interest / enthusiasm for the Museum.
The Bookings and Sales section of the Public Engagement Group aims to provide the Museums visitors with an experience of the highest quality. Sales Assistants act as the Museums key front-line team providing a welcoming, friendly, and safe environment with an approachable, professional, and knowledgeable team. The main focus of the role will be selling membership and exhibition tickets to visitor, ensuring they are always informed of the benefits of becoming a member and any information on current and future exhibitions.
The Sales Team will facilitate public access to the Museum; act as ambassadors for the Museum; to interact with, engage and enthuse the visitor through the exhibitions, collections, programme and products on offer. The team will help to communicate the unique role of the Museum as both an exceptional visitor attraction but also a world-leading resource centre.
Alongside this role you may also be selected to work in one of the many retail outlets across the museum. Further information will be provided if you are shortlisted.
We are holding an assessment on 20th March; successful applicants are expected to be fully available for this day and to start from 21st March. You will need to have full availability from 21st March until 16th April.
