Reporting line: VIP Relationship Team Manager

Office location: Hammersmith, with some travel required

Working hours: 40 hours a week

Role overview

This is a fast paced, results driven role with responsibility for the relationship management of Paddy Power Betfair high value VIPs. The purpose of the role is to ensure excellent delivery of the client management strategy, high engagement levels and overall adherence to required process and policies.

Team overview

The VIP Relationship Management Team are responsible for the day-to-day execution of PPB’s VIP client management strategy. The team is tasked with quickly building strong relationships, understanding the true needs of our clients and, ultimately, long-term loyalty to Paddy Power Betfair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong and solid client relationships

  • Achieve engagement and service level targets

  • Ownership of a portfolio of high value VIP clients with a bespoke approach

 Proactive and anticipate client’s requirements

 Ensure expectations are exceeded

 Resolve client enquiries

 Improve client experience

 Seek potential up-sell opportunities

  • Adherence and timely delivery against set policies and guidelines

  • Understand how our clients behave and the commercial impact from an individual as well as a portfolio level

  • Identification and nurturing of potential and win-back VIPs

  • Through strong relationships with the VIPs ensure that sufficient evidential information is sourced to ensure any AML and RG requirements are met

  • Seek out and actively address improvement areas within your day-to-day work schedule

  • Gather constructive feedback for key stakeholders in the business so that client experience can be improved and commercial opportunities are not missed

  • Attend company meetings and VIP events within Ireland and the United Kingdom as required by the business

  • Identify, acquire and solidify potential new VIP relationships to Paddy Power Betfair

Essential Skills & Experience

  • COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE SPORTS BETTING INDUSTRY – Ideally, you know the industry very well and have a keen interest in Sports

  • EXPERIENCE MANAGING RELATIONSHIPS WITH VIP CLIENTS – Preferably within in the gambling industry

  • STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS – Experience in communicating across wide forums. Ensure teams and stakeholders are regularly informed through bespoke updates

  • INFLUENCING SKILLS – Highly developed client management skills; able to collaborate well. Develops strong relationships and builds personal trust.

  • FLEXIBLE AND RESILIANT – Availability to VIP clients and able to adapt to their requirements

  • JUDGEMENT UNDER PRESSURE – Ability to assess and make the correct decisions in live situations

  • CULTURE FIT – Can operate at pace, has high self-awareness, is ambitious, of low ego, transparent, entrepreneurial, operates with high integrity, is accountable and results-focused
