Our client is a world leader in niche peristaltic and sinusoidal pumps and associated fluid path technologies for the pharmaceutical, industrial, and environmental industries. They’re currently looking to employ a Vendor Quality Engineer to be based at their factory in Falmouth.

Experience / Education:
·Electro-Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
·Educated to minimum HNC / HND level in an appropriate Engineering subject.
·Understand engineering drawings and specifications.
·Knowledge of measurement / inspection processes.
·Statistical analysis (using Minitab).
·Understanding manufacturing processes to a level where change could be implemented to reduce problems.
·Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis (RCCA).

Responsibilities:

·Successful introduction of new components and assemblies from suppliers.
·Work with suppliers to deliver effective RCCA and monitor their effectiveness.
·Define and document inspection processes that are appropriate to the requirements of the part including reporting of inspection results and drawing conclusions in relation to acceptance or rejection of part
·Create and document CMM processes including writing programmes and designing appropriate holding devices.
·Work with design engineers to agree concessions and specification updates where required
·Use PPAP where appropriate to deliver reliable supply of new parts from suppliers.
·Deliver an effective RCCA process and report on the results.
·Visit suppliers to progress RCCA where appropriate.
·Inspect and carry out appropriate AX transactions (pass into stock, reject to supplier, scrap or re-work) on items that are flagged for inspection.
·Write CMM programmes.
·Create SOP documents for inspection process including CMM measurement.
·Design and arrange manufacture of CMM fixtures.
·Specify and order gauges and measuring equipment for new components as required.
·Use statistical analysis techniques to interpret inspection results and recommend actions.
·Raise and progress concession as required.
Raise ECO's requesting specification changes as required.
