Reporting to the Business Services Manager, youll be the pivotal point of contact to ensure that our teams provide a first-class service in for our valued clients VAT affairs.
Dealing withbookkeeping, reviewing VAT returns, liaising with clients on VAT issues, preparing and guiding the teams to complete reconciliations and pertinentyear end adjustments.
As well as being the lynchpin for the Bookkeeping teams, youll also be responsible for monitoring completion and reviewing work to ensure deadlines are met whilst not compromising on quality and coaching the teams to ensure they are ready for the transition to making Tax Digital.The transition will be driving tighter deadlines, so were looking for a process and compliance driven individual, ideally from a practice background, who is used to working to tight deadlines and leading team compliance. Team Leader or Management experience is important.
Youll also be responding to client queries, so its essential youll be comfortable in providing full confidentiality, transparency and exceeding expectations whenever possible when dealing with them.
You will previously have worked in an Accounts/Bookkeeping team inPractice and be used to dealing with multiple accounts. Youll have good strong knowledge of VATschemes, EC sales and VAT coding in software (SAGE Line 50, Xero and /or Quickbooks) and Intrastat.
Wed like you to become ourgo to expert due to your previous extensive bookkeeping experience and penchant for dealing with a multitude of VAT issues.
Strong MS office experience, particularly with Excel are vital.
