We are currently looking to add to our team of dedicated support workers within our single person service in Romford, where we support a lady with a learning disability in her own home.
This lovely lady that we support will need help to live her everyday life as independently as possible, and this may include support around administering medication, offering support with cooking healthy meals, assisting with finances and support her when she is out and about.
Being a support worker isn't just about making day to day life good, it's about creating days that are spectacular! Each day will be different and will involves being out and about with the lady we support, helping her with the hobbies she enjoys, and meeting up with her friends and family.
Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance -Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
