UX Designer - Remote Working

Disrupting Retail Sector
Remote working with 1 day per month travel to Manchester hub
Contract: £250 - £400 per day for 9 months
Our client is a fast growing Tech start-up who are disrupting the Retail sector. They are a community led, lifestyle brand which connects consumers with amazing immersive experiences bringing consumer technology products to life. They have created the world's first multi-brand technology experience platform. With a world class venue opening in September 2020, this business is looking to fast forward their development.

As a forward thinking modern start-up they are able to offer remote working to their technical teams with 1 day visit per month to the Manchester tech hub. With huge amounts of investment and a long term plan to expand across the UK, there will be huge amounts of opportunity to genuinely make an impact.
We are looking for a UX/UI designer to turn ideas into intuitive and easy to use applications that provide relevant experiences to users. The candidate will be involved in the entire process of design from branding, usability and function. We are looking for a technically minded person who must be able to listen to user requirements and perform research to provide a user experience which is both intuitive and pleasing to use. The candidate must understand how the systems will be used and what the requirements and functions are needed and then be able to product work flows, prototypes and other documents to best demonstrate how these problems are overcome.
Responsibilities - UX Designer
- Work collaboratively as part of an Agile team working closely with Developers
- Use your expertise to gather requirements for interfaces
- Use modern practices to design flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Identify and solve UX issues for example responsive UIs
Essential Qualifications - UX Designer
- Proven examples of UI/UX projects
- Knowledge of wireframe/prototyping tools
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and other design tools
- Portfolio of existing work
- Understanding if responsive websites
- Experience with working in an Agile environment
