The role:

We are looking for a truly unique designer. A UX designer with intelligence, an eye for detail and a passion for everything UI/UX. It's not all about the visual aspect of design - Do you place elements on a web page with thought, consideration and justification? Working closely with the eCommerce Manager and other Senior Stakeholders, you'll gather and understand the research at the start of a project and use it to create considered design for our customers. Achieving a design that works requires an iterative process - you'll be working closely with other creative designers, project managers, developers. To do this you'll need to be self-motivated to meet challenging deadlines with a ‘can do' attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

To create compelling narratives, wireframes and desirable user experiences by gathering and defining user requirements which result in beautiful, intuitive and captivating interfaces.
Use Google Analytics and other reporting/insight software to help steer designs and ideas.
Wire-framing concepts and ideas.
Creating detailed prototypes to better explain concepts and ideas.
Designing in Photoshop.
Presenting ideas and concepts to the relevant stakeholders.
Creating concise and clear documentation, where appropriate.
Working closely with the UX manager to give customers the very best experience when shopping with us both online and in-store.
Seeing through projects from initial concept to the finished product.

What we are looking for:

Have demonstrable UX design experience in a company with strong brand presence, values and ambition.
Is adept at undertaking user research, user workshops, user tests and requirements gathering.
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
Ability to rapidly create wireframes to communicate and solidify your ideas
Use the necessary tools to create high quality, interactive prototypes
Highly creative with a strong sense of design and aesthetics
Excellent conceptual, layout, colour and typographic skills
Ability to follow brand guidelines
Experience creating, conducting and analysing AB/MV tests
Clear understanding of responsive design especially designing for mobiles and tablets
Experience working with omni-channel journeys
Are a highly focussed and high-energy individual who can run with projects with minimum supervision
Have a personal interest in the latest UI/UX, technology and graphic trends.

Desirably you will also have:

A working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Knowledge of site speed and optimisation techniques
Understanding of JavaScript / JQuery
Related degree or equivalent industry experience
