Do you have experience working within an infrastructure support environment and are looking for your next move into a role that offers real progression opportunity?

As a Unix Systen support your main responsibility would be for the installation and of RHEL and IBM AIX Servers. You will have a particular focus on ensuring the server remains functional at all times and undertaking system admin tasks as and when required for ongoing maintenance and provide out-of-hours support where necessary.

What are we looking for?

-Scripting skills including Shell and Perl

-Experience working in a large ICT infrastructure support environment running a mixture of Red Hat Linx and AIX Operating Systems including server virtualisation, shared storage and networking.

-Experience of administering and supporting RHEL 5,6 and 7 running on physical and virtual environments

-Experience af administering AIX 5.3, 6.1 and 7.1 running on IBM 5,6,7,& 8 and power virtualisation.

-Working knowledge of Brocase SAN and IBM Subsystems

On a day to day basis you will be for:

-Providing technical support for Unix Systems and ensuring the unix infrastructure and associated technologies remain current, supported and available and efficiently performing.

-Providing support to users of the system and wider technical community

-Suggest and take part in service improvement initiatives to ensure the server estate is current and supportable and then manage the change into the infrastructure.
