Who will I be working with?

PolicyPlan is an appointed representative of Staveley Head Ltd. So, what will the role of Underwriting Support Executive entail?

Reporting to the Underwriting Support Team Leader, as an Underwriting Support Executive you will play a key part in PolicyPlan’s strategy to grow a range of commercial insurance products and develop a substantial portfolio targeting the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) market, by achieving service objectives and demonstrating strong technical ability.

From building strong relationships with insurance brokers and/or customers, to ensuring that policy documentation is error free and contract certain, you’ll deliver a market leading service that sets you, and PolicyPlan, apart from competitors.

What will I need in order to be considered for this Underwriting Support Executive vacancy?

  • Proven experience working for an insurance broker or insurance company
  • Solid understanding of and proven experience with technical, commercial and liability insurance products
  • Ability to interpret technical subjects of varying complexity, including regulatory issues
  • Superb communication and relationship building skills, to consistently deliver high productivity and quality standards
  • Strong IT and administration skills
  • High level of organisation with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • A professional, proactive approach to work with a tenacious, 'can-do’ attitude
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C), preferably educated to A level standard, and with a desire to progress towards professional qualifications (CII)

Salary: Competitive salary, level dependent on experience and qualifications

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Flint (North Wales). Within commutable distance of Chester and the Wirral, and easy reach of the M56.
