Underwriting Assistant Manager
What you will do
You will be responsible for managing the performance of the underwriting portfolio, ensuring all underwriting and KPI audits are achieved on a regular basis. You will be able to offer support and guidance to the underwriting team and ensure that the team has direction on a daily basis.
You will have responsibility for monitoring and analysing underwriting reports, looking for trends and issues. From this, you will make relevant stakeholders aware and ensure appropriate plans are implemented to drive improved performance around credit underwriting.
As you will have line management responsibilities, you will complete regular 121’s with team members providing feedback for monthly performance and highlighting training needs where necessary.
What you will bring
We are looking for an Underwriting expert who has strong knowledge on risk assessment and management, ideally with experience in managing a team of Underwriters. As we are a Financial Services organisation, experience in working in a regulated environment is an advantage.
