The UK Retail Engineering Manager is accountable for the safe delivery of all Construction and Maintenance activities across the Shell UK Retail Network. Working closely with Network Planning colleagues, the engineeringmanager will be responsible for the development of the annual engineering investment program and the management it’s subsequent delivery through third party project management companies. They will manage a team of 4 including the UK Maintenance Manager ensuring that the UK Maintenance strategy reflects industry leading processes and is executed accordingly.
The Engineering Manager’s role within the UK Retail business is to ensure that Engineering construction and maintenance activities are planned and executed in a way which:
• Ensures consistent delivery of the UK Retail customer value proposition (CVP) - minimizing disruption and downtime and providing a superior customer experience.
• Maximises value - incorporating Total Cost of Ownership, One Touch approach and excellent Contract Management.
• Underpins the Tablestake of Shell’s Goal Zero - driving 'best in class’ approaches to HSSE (health, safety, security & environment) in design and execution.
To achieve this the Engineering Manager will ensure that Retail colleagues across all functions are engaged and aligned with construction and maintenance programs and priorities. This would be achieved via consistent application of excellent program management, communication and influencing skillsets.
