Our client are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to manage existing business, deliver on customer service commitments, manage and motivate the Biosecurity sales team, alongside developing sustainable new business opportunities to drive incremental growth of the UK & Ireland business.
Responsible for the development and delivery of the UK & Ireland Biosecurity Sales strategy, currently mainly poultry focused.
Key areas of focus include:-
Managing existing business with particular focus on key accounts through the development of strong relationships and ensuring that the company are meeting and exceeding our customers' needs and requirements.
Development and execution of customer and product sales & marketing plans, with regular management reporting on performance against plans.
Customer GAP analysis ensuring optimal category and product range availability.
Providing leadership and management of the Biosecurity team, cultivate and encourage positive cross-functional team working, undertake performance appraisals and regularly review training and professional development needs.
To work closely with the Business Development Director to identify and deliver new product, customer & market opportunities. A particular focus will be on replicating the successful Poultry Biosecurity programs into other agricultural areas.
To ensure the Biosecurity 'cleaning and disinfection' programs remain at the forefront of disease prevention and animal health through market intelligence and insight.
To perform any other duties appropriate to the position.
Qualifications required for this role:
Ideally, the candidate should have a background in Food Science/Technology with a good understanding of cleaning, hygiene, cleaning procedures, product application and validation. They should ideally have experience with Poultry and/or livestock.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales Management and/or Business Development roles along with a track record of building, managing and motivating a sales team
