UI Designer

We are looking for a highly creative UI Designer to work within our Product Development team in our Loughborough office.
In this role you will work closely with the UX Team and Product Managers distributed across the UK to implement a unified user experience across our extensive & diverse portfolio of SaaS solutions on our Access aCloud platform.
The ideal candidate will be working within a similar position currently and have sound, demonstrable commercial experience of creating designs for a diverse portfolio of products, solutions & personas.
Key responsibilities;
·You will be part of a design community at Access helping to establish and implement standards and guidelines for design patterns and user experience across the group
·You will create design assets such as static designs, interactive mocks, and prototypes
·You will take part in workshops to capture requirements, translating business processes into great experiences for the users of Access' solutions, understanding the context and needs of the user
·You work well with developers to communicate and evaluate design through to implementation - keeping a constant and open communication channel to ensure products are delivered to the highest standard
·You will confidently present work to internal teams as well as stakeholders
·You will maintain an active presence/membership of the design community to ensure the latest techniques, trends and design patterns are understood and implemented into our solutions

Skills and Experience:
·Experience in a Software House or Digital Agency or a very strong freelance portfolio
·You are great with design and will have demonstrable experience of using tools such as Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar
·You have a solid understanding of UCD principles and have a strong understanding of visual design/UI engineering - especially responsive web design
·You have design experience within software development, with a demonstrable ability to take ideas from concept to execution, supporting the design throughout delivery
·You have excellent communication skills, and you are able to build and maintain relationships within distributed Product & Development teams using Agile methodologies
·You have experience in working on a varied portfolio of products, markets & personas and working with/in virtual teams
·Ideally you will have strong HTML5 and CSS3 skills and be comfortable converting mocks into pixel perfect implementations
·A good understanding of CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS would be an advantage, along with experience writing or adapting jQuery code snippets
