Lewis-Manning Hospice is already well known locally as a centre offering excellent palliative care to local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their carers. Our brand-new state of the art in-patient unit offers tranquil end of life care for patients in the East of Dorset with stunning views of Poole Harbour. We are looking for a resourceful, experienced Trusts Fundraiser to join our growing fundraising team. In this role, you will approach new and existing trusts and foundations to maximise income and help develop our established portfolio.
This is a new, interesting and varied role based at the Hospice in Poole. The main duties of the post include working closely with Clinical colleagues, Director of Income and Communications and the Finance and Operations teams to develop and deliver an ambitious plan to secure income from trusts and grants. You will be responsible for researching, writing, coordinating and submitting grant applications to charitable trusts, foundations and grant making bodies. In addition, you will forge strong relationships with existing funders and continually develop new relationships with other funders. You will be responsible for growing the income to this area and developing an annual Trust and Grant application plan for the organisation.
The successful applicant must have proven experience and track record of success in raising funds from trusts, foundations and grant making bodies for at least 2 years. You’ll also be highly organised, proficient in the use of computer packages such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and have excellent attention to detail.
