We are looking for a driven, confident and ambitious Trust Fundraiser to play an intrinsic role in the growth of Trusts and Foundations at this leading national charity. Working with the Senior Manager and Deputy Director, this is an exciting position for an individual with experience who is looking to work for a mid-sized charity, take the next step in their career and see their contribution be recognised across the organisation.

The Charity
It is an incredibly exciting time for the charity as they launch a three-year strategy which will them partner with 50% of schools in the most disadvantaged areas across England and Wales by 2019 focusing in areas of deprivation.

The charity has a mid-sized fundraising team of eleven staff which sits in the Head Office with c.40 staff and there is a further 70 staff across the country. It is a lively and engaging place to work, with direct access to the CEO and Senior Management Team, as well as plenty of opportunities to get out of the office to for visits

The Role
You will be a key player in a small but ambitious Trust and Foundation team who will work to grow the income stream above and beyond 1million. You will have the opportunity to shape the charitys case for support and raise funds for areas of key importance for the charity.

The focus of your role will be to own and review a number of existing partnerships (low to mid-level funders) with a view to up scaling these, as well as building a strong pipeline to develop new supporters (focusing on 10k-49k) through applications and building relationships. You will work with the Senior Manager and Deputy Director to transform Trusts and Foundations into a highly effective income stream.

The charity wants the successful candidate to grow and develop, therefore once you have demonstrated your ability, there will be an opportunity to support the Team with larger bids to gain experience of significant, strategic partnerships. You will have a personal income target and be supported to reach this as part of a team that we are confident can significantly increase Trust and Foundation income for the charity

The Candidate
A successful track record as a Trust and Foundation fundraiser (2 years+) with examples of identifying prospects that have resulted in gifts of 10k to 49k.
Experience of prospecting new income sources identify, qualify, forecast income and plan bespoke engagement for a range of Trusts and Foundations who are relevant to the charity.
A successful track-record of owning processes, meeting deadlines and managing a mixed workload. Strong organisational and admin skills and attention to detail.
Experience of developing strong cases for support and writing successful bids/proposals that are of a high standard.
A positive can-do attitude that will enthuse prospective and current supporters & colleagues, and a proactive approach to converting leads that are generated across the organisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in getting your message across, with the credibility and authority to build rapport with and inspire funders to achieve your vision.
Strong persuasive and negotiating which result in positive outcomes, with the resilience and motivation to overcome any negative responses to proposals.
