Trust Officer

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be part of a small but busy team working on a diverse portfolio of structures, and will liaise with intermediaries and service providers. This position requires a person with a broad spectrum of experience who is willing to undertake tasks at all levels.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management and administration of a portfolio of trusts, companies and foundations with a wide variety of asset classes

  • Manage the property portfolios of structures within the portfolio

  • Monitor the performance of investment portfolios and take remiedial action where necessary.

  • Setting up and maintaining accurate and complete records for trusts, utilising existing technology

  • Liaising with our Guernsey office to support them in meeting their client needs in a timely, professional manner and maintaining knowledge and control of assets and activities of structures administered

  • Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

  • Assisting in the training and development of other staff members

Person Specification:

  • An understanding of international trust concepts and practices

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with current and new clients/intermediaries

  • Maintain and review accurate data on all client files

  • Ability to recognise and identify potential problems and risks and report these appropriately

  • Adhere to internal processes and procedures ensuring all legal, ethical and regulatory requirements are understood and met

  • Ability to manage fiduciary relationships to ensure timely responses to clients.

  • Understand and be able to demonstrate understanding of all AML related procedures relevant to the role

  • Keep up to date with new developments in fiduciary services and products

  • Able to respond effectively verbally and in writing when dealing with clients, intermediaries and relationship managers

    Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Five or more years of experience in a trust and company administration role
