Trust Doctor (CT Equivalent) in Upper GI/Surgery
Fixed term contract: 12 months
Applications are invited for the post of Trust Doctor (CT Equivalent) in Upper GI / General Surgery at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will join a busy surgical unit in a large acute hospital Trust of around 1,000 beds, serving a resident population of approximately 400,000 and providing a wide range of elective / emergency surgical procedures. The successful candidate will join our team of trainees and have the opportunity to undertake training in line with their professional and developmental needs. There is the opportunity to participate in teaching, audit and research to enhance your portfolio.
Principal responsibilities include inpatient/day case perioperative ward care and participation in a 1 in 10 rota general surgical on call rota. The post will be based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro. This post will also provide day time ward cover and take part in the night on call rota.
You will need to be fully registered with the General Medical Council at the time of appointment and have UK foundation training or equivalent competencies. Applications are encouraged from those unable to work full-time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
