Treasury Assistant
Newbury
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Starting Salary: £20 - £25k (depending on experience)
Once fully trained and competent, the role would become a Treasury Analyst, with a target salary of £30k

We have a great opportunity for a full time Administrator who is looking to develop a career in Finance and Treasury.
Working as part of a small team, the main responsibilities are:
• To assist the Treasury Manager with the daily delivery of the Society’s cash management processes
• To monitor, analyse, manage and report on treasury risks
• To manage the treasury department email mailbox to ensure that requests from internal and external customers are actioned in an efficient and timely manner
• To work closely with the Society’s Finance team
• To assist with the production of regulatory returns
• To assist with the implementation of a treasury management system to improve existing processes

Essential criteria for the role are:

• A level standard of education (or equivalent)
• Maths and English GCSE grade 4 and above (or equivalent)
• Strong numeracy skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (able to write formulas, link files, analyse data)
• The ability to analyse and interpret data
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to manage tight deadlines
• A flexible approach to work with good interpersonal skills
• Confidence to deal effectively with requests from external parties

Desirable criteria for the role are:

• Degree education
• Previous experience of working within a regulated environment
• Experience of dealing with cash management
• Training
• On-the job training programme will be provided
• Opportunity to study for a recognised qualification in treasury
