Opportunity - Interim assignment for 13 weeks working for a governing body within a Pensions and Treasury Fund Management capcity.
Duties will include:
To direct and lead the development and delivery of the Warwickshire Pension Fund investment strategies.
To act as the pension fund's expert on interpreting pension and investment legislation.
To lead process amendments and other changes to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
To take the lead in ensuring day to day operations of investment and accounting matters for the client Pension Fund are effectively and efficiently managed, in line with national and Council standards, service regulations and policies. This includes planning and implanting cash investments to best reflect the policy and treasury management strategy, and the review of capital financing costs, prudential indicators and charges to ensure compliance and best practice
To lead on pension fund risk and governance matters.
To ensure promote and ensure integrated working between Pension Fund Investment and Pension Fund Administration functions.
To provide positive and inspiring leadership to the Treasury and Pensions team.
To build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver these responsibilities.
Successful candidate will:
Be Qualified (CCAB body) with at least 2 years' post qualification experience and more than 5 years' experience working within complex accounting teams.
Sound knowledge of local government finance, accounting standards and reporting requirements would be advanteagous.
