Treasury Analyst

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE


Ambridge Harris is assisting our successful client based in Gloucestershire in order to recruit a Treasury Analyst to join their existing team. Reporting to the Associate Manager, the Treasury Analyst role is an opportunity to take on a junior management position. The Treasury Analyst will supervise 2 cashiers to deliver daily operational payments for EMEA entities, whilst supporting projects and process improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.

Key elements of this role are:

  • Mentoring and developing the 2 Treasury Cashiers
  • Proposing and initiating appropriate cash movements
  • Safeguarding the cash and liquidity of all EMEA entities
  • Managing intercompany loan statements and agreements
  • Identify and support projects and process improvements that deliver cost savings, growth and automation


  • People Management - supervise the 2 cashiers. Assist with recruitment of future Interns or Cashiers entering the teamLiquidity Management - daily forecasting and cash positioning in order to identify and initiate appropriate foreign exchange deals, funding and investments. Analyse month end balances to propose appropriate movements to reduce large surplus balances and initiate loan repayments and funding
  • Cash Management - through supervision of the cashiering function, review and deliver daily operational payments and collections, including operator duties on our SWIFT platform. Be the first escalation point for external and internal operational payment queries and following up to a successful conclusion. Rationalising bank accounts and opening new bank accounts and overseeing their respective automation in SAP
  • Loan Management - consolidate and standardise our intercompany loan agreements. Prepare monthly loan statements and arrange timely settlement of loan interest. - 2 -
  • Projects - provide key support for regional and global initiatives including Robotics, SWIFT, future transitions, SAP and e-banking optimisation. Provide the main support to Treasury Management with operational projects
  • Process Improvements - take the initiative and accountability to improve, standardise and automate daily operational processes in order to deliver Treasury best practise
  • Mandate Management - support Back Office by ensuring stringent control over mandates, signatories and limits
  • Reporting & Analysis - review and provide in-depth analysis of our FX and payment environment to understand the key drivers and produce appropriate KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Development of standard Treasury policies and agreements to deliver efficient and transparent daily operational processes
  • Build strong relationships with our global customers and global finance

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Previous Treasury experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel
  • SAP experience
  • Cash management and project management experience
  • Language skills, such as French, Italian, Spanish and German
  • Experience of working in a shared service environment
  • Role would suit someone currently undergoing an AMCT qualification and 3rd party providers
