Business Travel Consultant (phone-based, no weekends or evenings)

Our client know that their staff drive their business which is why in return for your hard work as one of their Travel Consultants, you can expect to receive 4 weeks of extensive training, Circa £17-25,000 salary as well as excellent benefits, including:

What will I be doing?

As a Business Travel Consultant at the business, you will use your excellent customer service skills to delight their clients at each stage of their travel reservation. Using telephone and e-mail, you will manage bookings and sales of airline tickets, hotels, rental cars, trains, taxis, etc. to ensure that their customers’ business trips are as smooth as possible. You will also:

·Research and recommend routes, lowest fares, exchange rates and travel services

·Resolve problems related to reservations, wait-listing, seat selection, upgrades as needed

·Respond to customer inquiries for timetables, fares, hotels and tickets

·Build and maintain excellent customer relationships

·Manage customised solutions with clients and partners

The Ideal Business Travel Consultant:

**YOU MUST have previous Travel Consultant / Reservations / Fares / Global Distribution Systems (GDS) experience and have used or have working knowledge of one of the following: Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan or SmartPoint**

You will also have:

·Customer service describes you - understand customers’ needs and create solutions

·Strong communication; Thrive in a social environment

·General interest in working in an IT / technical environment

·Competencies: Problem solving, relationship building, customer focus
