A further Trauma Liaison team member required to help develop the virtual fracture clinics in Clyde and maintain the present service. This is an exciting post that will challenge and reward in equal measure. An Orthopaedic background is desirable as most of the clinical work is done in A/E department and fracture clinics. You will assist in the process of planning, organising and delivering emergency care and treatment to patients admitted to the orthopaedic department as the result of an acute orthopaedic problem or trauma. You will be actively involved in the preparation of patients for emergency/trauma surgery i.e. blood investigations, ECG, X-rays and work closely with the consultant and receiving Senior House Officer and Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner, to ensure adequate preparation for daily trauma meetings i.e. relevant information written on board, X-rays available for review, preparation of provisional trauma list. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and have substantial experience and knowledge of working within the Orthopaedics department. The shift pattern for this post is rotational days/nights/weekends and public holidays. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
