To ensure the ongoing professional provision of the Transport Training Programme we are recruiting for Transport Trainers.

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience within the emergency services environment with -

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of Emergency Services Specialist Transport Training

  • Experience of delivering Blue Light / Emergency response training to Fire or other emergency services

  • Understanding of the requirements for development and maintenance of trainer competence

    The ideal candidate will have -

  • An understanding of the current standards used within Emergency Response Driver Training

  • An understanding of the proposed Section 19 legislation

  • Be able to develop a thorough understanding of the Babcock / LFB Partnership

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of Transport Training in accordance with the Training Delivery Programme

  • Complete appropriate competency records and paperwork for LFB staff attending transport training courses

  • Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise with regard to future development of Transport training for emergency services.

  • Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) (essential)

  • Cat B and C Driving Licence (essential)

  • PTTLS, AET or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)

  • ROSPA Gold Emergency Response Driving Instructor (desirable)

  • BTEC Level 3 Police Class 1 Driving Instructor (desirable)

  • IOSH Health and Safety (desirable)

  • FLT Operator / Instructor (desirable)

  • Aerial Operator / Instructor (desirable)
