Transport Planner (Alfreton)
Monday – Friday
Up to £20,000

I am seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a fantastic business in Alfreton to be responsible for liaising with customers and drivers in relation to orders and delivery details. You will be based in an extremely busy transport office and required to start at 5am.
You will need to have a minimum of 2 years + experience in Transport administration or planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready for a new challenging position where you are able to progress further in your career. The role is working 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 30 minute break. The great thing is, there is NO weekend work or Bank Holiday work. You will be entitled to 20 days annual leave and an excellent bonus scheme!

Duties include: 

  • Order taking/inputting

  • Planning routes for 10 local vehicles

  • Taking note of sizes and weights of pallets/vehicles

  • Dealing with agency staff, booking agencies for sickness cover

  • Great deal of IT work

  • Electronic scanning of delivery notes

  • Answering inbound customer queries

  • Administration duties

  • Dealing with customers email/ telephone

  • Physically scanning in bound pallets
