About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our client’s Transport team to provide professional administrative support.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Assisting colleagues by answering transport queries
  • To ensure the efficient and effective operation of the transport service, by ensuring that telephone and email booking for goods in/out are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • To answer incoming calls to the department
  • Assisting drivers with any queries that they have
  • To maintain the integrity of the delivery booking system
  • To maintain and review an audit ready filing system
  • To ensure that the Transport team working areas are maintained in such a way to promote a positive image
  • To support the Transport team in continually looking for improvements
  • Where appropriate, provide admin support for other members in the team
  • To work closely with departments, to help assist them with any issues that they may have, and where applicable provide advice
  • To promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the company

About you:

This is an exciting and varied role which reports into the Transport Manager. We are interested in speaking to candidates who have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an Administrative based role
  • Previous experience working in a Transport based role is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to liaise comfortably with stakeholders at all levels
  • Being comfortable working both alone and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of creating, running and maintaining reports
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise key issues
  • Ability to manage expectations
  • Ability to identify and improve working practice

Hours: 40 hours per week, some flexibility required
