Can you keep us safe? - We’re banking on you!
At Virgin Money, we are working to offer a real alternative to banking as usual and aim to make everyone better off; our customers, colleagues, company shareholders, corporate partners and local communities.
To deliver the best for the business and our customers, it’s incredibly important that Virgin Money remains safe and secure. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transaction Verification Officer within our Fraud & Financial Crime team.
This challenging, yet exciting role is a central point of contact across the business as you will provide support and guidance on a wide range of Transaction Verification related queries. On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for 1st Line Financial Crime and internal & external Fraud Risk Management and AML operations. The role supports the Financial Crime management in delivery of core department objectives, helping to protect Virgin Moneys bottom line and customers.
You’ll effectively verify riskier transaction and payment alerts, supporting customers who have been victims of financial crime or are disputing card transactions. This is really important to us as our customers are paramount to our success and we need to ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do. Due to the nature of the work, a major part of the role is telephony based.
To succeed you’ll ideally have previous experience of Transaction Verification within a Financial Services environment, preferably with MasterCard systems. It would also be good for you to have knowledge and experience of investigating potential fraudulent activities and demonstrate your attention to detail. Your previous experience would support your ability to analyse information / date and be able to present and reach conclusions based upon evidence you’ve collected. If you had awareness of compliance and risk environments too, that would be great!
