Training & Development Officer
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Training and Development Officer to join our HR team, based in Carlisle.
Reporting directly to the Training Manager, you will be responsible for providing day to day support for all UK sites. This is an operational hands on role which will have involvement in the whole training cycle, whilst also maintaining responsibility for the administration, organisation and management of data, records and training activity.
For this role, you will have excellent facilitation and training skills, and suitable experience in a similar role. We would expect you to be able to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of training methods and processes, whilst also being able to demonstrate your knowledge of UK specific legislation with particular regard to H&S requirements. Experience within a production environment and knowledge on lean methodologies would be advantageous in this role.
You should have excellent organisational / administration skills, with intermediate level in all Microsoft software. Due to the amount of data involved, you will also be confident in analysing information, with a high level of attention to detail. Given the opportunities available to support and help facilitate training activities, you should have excellent communication skills, able to influence, persuade, coach and negotiate with people at different levels both internal and external to the organisation.
Whilst a formal training qualification would be advantageous, it’s not essential as we looking for someone with an interest and passion for training, able to look at what we do and work independently with the teams to assist with driving forward any process improvements.
