Trainee Production Scheduler, Slough, £18-25K

One of the UK’s leading and multi award winning Fabricators for both Reynaers and Schuco systems are looking for a production scheduler to join their growing vibrant team. If you are are energetic, driven and wanting to succeed then this is the organisation for you.

OBJECTIVE: Is that projects are scheduled in order for on time delivery in accordance with the client contract

DUTIES
- Role is to ensure optimisation of business profit through the delivery of projects by ensuring that production programmes are scheduled by means of a methodical process and to specification
- Successful delivery of high value complex program plans
- The TPS must ensure that they are fully competent on all supplier systems software and in particular Schucal, ReynaPro. The TPS will help define product specifications
- The TPS will drive the program from definition of translating design requirements into the successful release for production/operation
- The TPS should be aware of any manpower issues that may affect delivery of the plan, liaising with the Production Manager to overcome these issues
- To keep abreast of the issues facing the business on a day to day basis and in the longer term, anticipating future challenges and opportunities and responding to these with effective planning, developing own solutions in an entrepreneurial manner whilst maintaining the Groups professional image
- Delivering plans in line with budget requirements
- Working collaboratively with other teams as well as the Design Manager to develop and deliver a business strategy
- Working collaboratively with Draughtsmen in agreeing profiles and sections to be used
- Accurate calculation of U-Values
- Ensure that projects are scheduled effectively through the use of interdependent management and cross-functional working where required
- Full understanding of the problems that may be encountered with the project and work to eliminate this risk through effective preparation of production schedules

PERSON AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Strong quality, accuracy and efficiency of work
- Familiar with AUTO CAD
- Knowledge of project planning
- Highly self-motivated
- Educated to ideally HND level
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Competent in the use of supplier specific software and in particular Schucal, ReynaPro
- CNC Programming experience
- Sound knowledge of the systems required in the field of production and also the machinery required
- Solution driven
- Good communication
