Page Personnel are working closely with a fantastic Public Sector organisation in Manchester who are looking for a Trainee Procurement Officer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Description

As the Trainee Procurement Officer, your key roles and responsibilities will be:

  • Work closely with the procurement team on the full range of support services in relation to procurement and contract processes and wider administration duties
  • Creating procurement documentation
  • Placing adverts/Contract Notices
  • Handling queries from bidders
  • Organising, and produce minutes for, post-tender interviews
  • Passing documentation to Legal for contracts to be completed
  • Assisting with supplier problems
  • Conducting an annual analysis of spend by supplier
  • Maintain contract and supplier information
  • Undertake a range of general office duties

Profile

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • CIPS Qualification or Advanced Certificate in procurement
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Strong experience within Microsoft programs, excel and word
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • Experience of managing a large workload and completing work to deadlines
