SSY, one of the world's largest international shipbroking groups, is looking to recruit a graduate as a trainee analyst to work within its research division. The job involves statistical and written analysis of the tanker shipping markets, focusing on the drivers of crude and oil product trade as well as monitoring the development of the tanker fleet.
Applications are invited from graduates with a 2.1 degree or higher, with proven analytical ability.
Responsibilities will include:
- Updating, monitoring and developing statistical databases that are used for research publications, client services and consultancy reports
- Writing for weekly and monthly reports
- Preparing slide decks
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills and ability to manage large data sets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required to work with a global team
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to work within a deadline driven environment
The position on offer is on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive salary (subject to a probationary period) and will be based in SSY's London office.
