Main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide a professional interface to all external contacts to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded

  • Answering incoming calls as efficiently as possible, maintaining a friendly manner

  • Review and action customer requests placed via email

  • Input all requests for service visits on to the company’s computer system

  • Escalate any customer queries to the relevant team Service Director

  • Answer incoming calls from engineers as efficiently as possible

  • Monitor scheduled return engineer visits

  • Ensure that customers are kept fully informed of any delays or failure to meet contracted obligations

  • Undertake any other administrative duties as requested by the Service Director

  • Maintain and improve administration processes and follow through all current company policies and procedures to meet the highest possible standards

  • Strive to achieve team and individual targets, whilst also maintaining a focused awareness of personal and business objectives to optimise the resolution of customer issues within agreed timescales

  • Updating Service Management system

  • Holiday cover for admin team members

  • Overseeing the distribution of customer replaceable units and continued development of consumable distribution process

  • Attending monthly Service meetings

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Strong attention to detail, accurate and numerate

  • First class customer handling skills

  • Strong team player

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Good IT skills

With the emphasis being on customer care, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in this area, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and possess outstanding communication skills.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Based: Barton-Le-Clay, on the outskirts of Luton

Salary: £16K to £18K per annum, depending on experience
