Responsibilities and Duties

As a Trainee Conference Producer you would be responsible for the creation of an event from the very beginning. For this exciting, fast-paced role, you will need exceptional research, organisational, English grammar and creative writing skills as well as being a commercial, ambitious and high-energy self-starter.

You must have a love and passion for telephone research and finding new topics! A great eye for detail and the ability to handle yourself professionally on the phone and face-to-face are also needed.

The role involves working with senior management to identify hot new topics, then go out to the market to test the commercial viability of the event. This job role includes:

  • In-depth telephone/desk research into target markets
  • Creating databases
  • Writing sales-orientated agendas
  • Copywriting
  • Influencing and recruiting speakers on the telephone and face-to-face
  • Liaising and organising the speakers on the actual day of the conference

Qualifications and skills required

Only graduates with a first class or high upper second degree and solid A-Level results should apply. You will preferably have a minimum of six months’ office-based work experience (not necessarily within the events industry).
