DFC Property Management Ltd. is a well-established company specialising in
Residential Property Management throughout the South East.

We are currently looking for a Trainee Block Property Manager/administrator who will provide full
property management services for a portfolio of freehold/leasehold developments on
behalf of freehold clients and resident management companies.

The successful candidate will be hard-working, committed and well-presented with
the ability to represent the business in a professional manner.

You will be articulate, hard-working and have experience dealing with the
management of issues in a professional and empathetic capacity. You will be
responsible for providing general administrative support and quality service to all
Leaseholders, Landlords.

As a Trainee Property Manager/Administrator, you will be confident in liaising with Leaseholders and
Landlords and keen to resolve issues fully. Knowledge of the property environment
would be a significant advantage.

The successful Trainee Block Property Manager/Administrator will assist with and work towards
obtaining a good understanding of: -
1. Residential Property Management;
2. Industry legislation (Leasehold Law, Health & Fire Safety);
3. Issuing Section 20 Notices & major works consultations;
4. Managing service charge budgets;
5. Buildings Insurance schedules & Renewals;
6. Contractors’, Leaseholders’ & Directors’ liaison;
7. Property Inspections;
8. RICS & ARMA codes of practice;

Responsibilities
 Issuing section 20 notices and service charge demands;
 Manage portfolio in accordance with RICS Codes of Practice;
 Dealing with leaseholders’ enquiries proactively with care and due diligence;
 Deal with insurance brokers and policy renewals;
 Prepare scope of works for repairs and instruct surveyors/contractors;
 Follow through all instructions and ensure completion in line with agreed time
frame, costs and quality;
 Provide support to Property Managers/Team members and Director as
necessary;
 Review and action property inspections reports;
 Dealing with service charge bills, collection & arrears;
 Contacting Landlords, Leaseholders and local agents re maintenance & access
issues
 Chasing contractors for insurance and accreditation documents;
 Liaising with accounts department;
 Developing and maintaining key systems;
 Dealing with Leaseholders and Landlords on maintenance and repair issues;
 Liaising with contractors to arrange appointments for repair and maintenance
issues;

 Daily Post and Internal Post;
 General administrative duties including filing, archiving, recycling;

Qualifications
 Mandatory: Level 3 (equivalent to A Levels)
 Desirable: Recent Graduate, IRPM, ARLA, ARMA
Salary: £19,000 - £23,000
Full time position (9:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday)
