Trainee Biomedical Scientist AFC Band 5 (Annex 21)

The cellular pathology department at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories has a vacancy for a 23 month fixed term Trainee BMS post. The successful candidate will be primarily based in histology but will rotate into different areas within cellular pathology to gain the required competencies to complete the IBMS registration training portfolio. The department holds IBMS approval for training. The laboratory is fully computerised and processes an interesting and varied workload. The department operates 7am – 7pm in some areas and other sections are currently under review. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in these extended hours when rota’d into these sections. Candidates working towards HCPC registration are encouraged to apply.
