Train Presentation Officer

My client who is a leading rail company with a station based at Skipton is seeking a number of skilled and hardworking Train Presentation Officers.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that on-train environment, and other areas are cleaned to the company highest business standards,

Your duties and responsibilities

•Work to the instructions of the Team Presentation Leader. Undertake any work as required, subject to competence, including light maintenance tasks on train units
•Cleaning of trains, removal of seat covers, shampooing of carpets, removal and refitting of diffusers, minor vehicle interior repairs
•Change roller towels where fitted and exhausted and replenish toilets with soap and toilet tissue as required
•Ensure on-train litter compartments are emptied and fresh bin liners fitted
•Clear away all large on train litter and keep walkways tidy and platform litter bins clear, conveying all rubbish to waste skips
•Removal/destruction of window stickers as required
•Obtain and utilise druggets as required
•Obtaining, using, caring for and returning all tools and equipment to storage locations
•Obtain materials from stores/storage to enable work to be carried out
•Operation of plant and equipment in accordance with proficiency certification where required
•Liaise with the Team Leader to determine the workload priorities, ensure that the work is progressed
•Adherence to working instructions and quality procedures
•Assist other members of the team as required, subject to competence
•Keep the Team Leader advised at all times of any difficulties encountered
•Ensure staff mess-rooms, toilets, showers, locker rooms and corridors are cleaned and retained to standards as laid down
•Ensure all food related appliances in staff mess-rooms are cleaned to acceptable laid down standards
•Cleaning of shed walls, floors, pits and fixed plant with high-pressure hot water equipment as required
•Emptying of all shed bins and replacing to the shed areas for next use
•Sign off all completed jobs on prescribed worksheets, endorsing work outstanding where necessary
•Adhere to commitments outlined, and signed for, within the Safety Responsibility Statement
•Wear all safety clothing supplied

This role is working nights on a rotating shift basis working weekends, you must be fully flexible in your hours of work.

You must also be able to pass a through medical, this will include testing on your eye sight, hearing, drugs and alcohol.

This is a physically demanding role so requires someone who can manage this and have the ability to deliver at all times.
