Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be working with established property specialists in the South West on the hire of a Town Planner to join their team in Taunton.
The opportunity has arisen through retirement to join a dedicated professional team engaged in Town & Country Planning work across the residential, commercial and agricultural sectors, throughout Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
The role includes initial feasibility assessments, pre-application engagement with Local Planning Authorities, local communities and other stakeholders, the preparation, submission and promotion of planning applications, enforcement and appeal work, strategic planning and development plan promotion.
The successful applicant will be assisting and then managing their own client base and project work, and liaising as necessary with other members of the professional team and external consultants.
In order to be successful you will need to hold / demonstrate;
-A relevant planning degree
-MRTPI or be working towards it
-Experience in all areas of Planning and an aptitude for Design is essential
-Listed building experience would be an advantage
-Clear passion for planning
