A position has become available for an experienced toolmaker to undertake toolroom activities for our client who are a renowned manufacturer of pressed components to the automotive industry.
Day to Day duties will include the following:
To build, repair and maintain multistage progression and single stage press tools (Essential)
Producing new tools, repairs and maintenance to pre determined times and estimates (Essential)
Strip, rebuild of tools for maintenance and re grind (Essential)
Provide tool maintenance service (Essential)
Die polishing and refurbishment (Essential)
Use of measuring equipment and operations of lathes, millers, grinders etc (Essential)
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
. Strong toolmaking background in a power press manufacturing environment (Essential)
. Experience on multistage, single stage and draw tooling (Essential)
. Possess knowledge of working with steel, brass and aluminium (Essential)
. Competent in the operation of lathes, millers, grinders, presses, CNC Machines, spark eroders etc (Essential)
. Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometes, verniers etc (Essential)
