Paying up to £350 per day
The working hours are 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.
However due to the nature of the project works may need to occur outside of the defined hours. This will include Monday to Friday night working and Weekend day & night working.

Reporting to Lead T&C engineers, the commissioning engineers will be the core engineering team performing all test & commissioning activities on a system by system basis. The commissioning engineers will be responsible for all system testing, The information below breaks down the team split:
CMS,SMS, and SCADA Systems Team
PAVA & CCTV Systems Team
OFN, CDN & Telephony Systems Team
Radio Systems Team
Prime objective for the roles are to successfully test & commission each system and have them ready for bringing into services under the control of their Lead T&C Engineer.
The test & commissioning engineers will be responsible for all testing under the SCADA/ Management Systems requirement. Typical roles will be as follows:
SCADA/ Management Systems
Pre-commissioning works (checking the RTUs, terminations and wiring in both the local cabinet and between 3rd parties against schedules and ePlans)
Leading testing of all IO points between 3rd party equipment to the RTU, and assisting of testing of all IO to the Central Management System at the Route Control Centre.
Completing the test specifications, ensuring all issues are raised and, where possible, fixed on site using the Change Control procedure.
Integration Testing of the Station Management System to all other systems (CCTV, PAVA,, Radio, Telephony)
Customer Information System
Pre commissioning works of displays (checking firmware, IP addresses, test messages)
Testing basic functionality of displays from the management server
Full integration testing of the displays , ensuring trains are correctly propagating through the timetables and displaying correctly on the NTIs.
Requirements for the T&C engineers
Experience in Commissioning Station/Linewide/Building management systems
Experience in Systems Engineering and Testing activities
Experience in industry standard protocols, eg OPC, Modbus, IEC60870-5-103, DNP
Experience in SCADA testing of MEP equipment in a rail environment
Understanding interface of PAVA/ CCTV/Telephony systems
Drive T&C activities & Site Supervision if required
