Our client, based in Burnley, is a well-established global manufacturer of motor vehicle components.
Due to continual growth, the company they are looking to recruit an experienced Test Laboratory Manager. The position is responsible for the day to day management of the Test Laboratory and Technician.
·Testing of Automotive Switches and Components
·Tactile Appraisal and Report Writing
You will work with and assist when necessary with personnel from both product and manufacturing areas.
·Management and delivery of allocated test projects.
·Ensure daily data input into TDMS (Test Data Management System) is correct and ensure programming in TDMS is carried out.
·Ensure maintenance and calibration of equipment is carried out.
·Support in-house product development testing & liaison with external Test laboratories.
·Manage Laboratory within the requirements of IEC 17025 and to update procedures & processes required by IEC 17025.
·Ensure Laboratory functions are within annual budget and propose future CAPEX spending requirements.
·Provide test plans for product line transfer testing and source test equipment to carry out the required tests.
Experience & Education:
·Time served Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer with good technical qualifications such as HNC/ HND or/ Degree in Engineering.
·Automotive Product knowledge & laboratory experience would be beneficial
·Experience in high volume, low cost manufacturing
·Work to excellent Health & Safety standards and ensure that company Quality standards have been adhered to
·The candidate needs to be able to define work scope, plan and execute work plans, deliver accurate and qualified test information and reports
·Understand technical Engineering drawings
Working Hours & Salary
·Monday - Thursday - 8.00am - 4.30am
·Friday - 8.00am - 1.00pm
·Annual salary of £35’000 - £40’000 dependent upon experience
·33 Days Holiday
